Ministry of Gender and Family, Male’, Maldives

  • Documented the first ever national campaign on violence against women in the Maldives, taking photos at various events including Ministerial meetings and presentations, community gatherings and campaign launches. The ‘Hands Campaign’ collected 27,000 hand prints from around the country under the slogan “these hands will never be used in violence” and displayed them around the capital island, Male’.
  • Designed and developed a 20 page, full-colour booklet on the initial findings of the Survey on Women’s Health and Life Experiences

  • Documented and produced photographic images of women in Aceh, highlighting the issues of displacement caused by the 2004 Tsunami and years of internal political violence
